Winter: Wintry-White Peace and Quiet in the Dolomites

Winter in the Fiscalina Valley offers a wealth of possibilities for hikers and those seeking peace and quiet. Be it wonderful back country skiing or idyllic winter hiking or snowshoeing, Sesto and its breathtaking natural scenery promise many enjoyable hours in the snow.

Cross-country skiers love the well-groomed tracks just outside our establishment, which, incidentally, connect directly to the Alta Pusteria cross-country network, whilst romantics enjoy the magic of winter on horse-drawn sleigh rides and active holidaymakers leave everyday life behind them whilst winter hiking in Sesto.

Boots, snow shoes (“ciaspole”) and alpine skiing excursions:

• Costoni di Croda Rossa (you climb the range from the back through the Croda Rossa Valley or through the “Kuhwald” forest), then ski down the slopes of the Croda Rossa skiing area. Ideal as a training route or in the evening
